i dont think i set my web directory up in order to do this. how would i go about doing this.

it will not connect to my db!?
even if i write in the real username and password it says “Please enter an username and a password!”
and the same if i write a wrong username and password and same if i enter when its empty!

yes they are ok because im using them and i have no rpoblems but ill do this tutorial and post some feed back on if it is worth doing it on that host
somehow no matter how i do this it wont work… i got the database up the only problem i got is that even if i type right password and username it goes to else

Did you separated the string variable by quotation mark or apostrophe?

How come my username field is case sensitive and how do i make it case insensitive?
i think the problem is you need to use the user name and password for your phpmyadmin, not your local host
