As a rule, absolutely ANY award is good in a resume, because it tells a lot about you: competitive, good in what you’re doing, etc. A scholastic gold key award would show the fact that you’re talented, which is sought for in this case.

also, keep in mind that whenever u apply for a job, it is indicated that you send a cover letter too. look at the source i provided, the website also has really good advice on cover letters.
